Basic 3 Variations Part 2

Beginner

Beginner 1

In this video, we will go through the second part of basic 3 variations.

1) First variation starts off with the standard basic 3 and then a backwards quarter turn to the leader's right.

After the marka on the 3 count the leader will step again with their left and start to walk to the right backwards with the chest facing to the left of the original direction.

Nothing extra is needed from the frame or arms to start or finish the orientation.

2) The second variation is the same pattern of travel but instead of marka at the end of every 3 steps, this variation will incorporate a rock step with leaders left foot and the follower's right foot for a continuous flow with each directional change.

3) The third variation is a rounded basic 3 quarter to the leaders left which does not have a marka on the 3 count, the 3rd step is a redirection on the leaders left and followers right foot (which is very small for the follower in a "hula hoop" fashion) which is a total of 5 steps. This variation can finish with a marka on the 5th or like the other variations a rock step can be done.

4) The last variation is a traveling basic 3 in a linear path but with a 180 degree flip on the 3rd and 4th step that can also end with a marka or a rock step.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Key Takeaways

  • These basics are very important to be to travel with your basic 3 in a variety of ways.
